Colorado is facing a serious shortage of qualified health care professionals. The Colorado Trust's Health Professions Workforce Policy Collaborative and The Colorado Rural Health Center's Annual Health Professions Workforce Summit are working towards effective solutions.
HB 08-1390 created this Task Force to develop recommendations for funding stability for the state's high-risk health insurance pool. The Task Force delivered its report to the Governor and the Legislature on March 31, 2009.
