Colorado Health Professions Workforce Policy Collaborative

A Strategy of the Colorado Health Professions Workforce Investment Grant

Purpose:

• To provide a planning forum for health care providers, educational institutions, policy leaders and economic development and workforce planning stakeholders to develop a strategic plan that supports systems improvements by advancing key health professions workforce solutions and public policy priorities for Colorado.
• Identify and actively address key public policy action steps, while concurrently developing a long-term policy framework.  
• Ensure the integration of primary, mental and dental provider needs to create systemic improvements, emphasizing both the quantity and quality of primary care workforce, and addressing the needs of rural and medically underserved communities.
