Public Engagement

PublicEngagementProcessEngaged Public convenes designated stakeholders or the general public together to resolve public issues. Components of public engagement include facilitation, meeting and process design, and the utilization of appropriate technology to organize information and allow audiences to interact with it. We specialize in innovative uses for keypad polling, including this Oxford Style debate sponsored by the Colorado Health Foundation.

Public engagement does not always need to be face-to-face. One of our tools, Backseat Budgeter is an interactive budget simulation allowing users to make decisions about where public dollars are spent and how revenues are raised. More than 20,000 users have been engaged by this tool, helping to steer public policy on the budget.

As a Colorado based firm with deep roots in the state, Engaged Public has the ability to tap into a statewide network of opinion leaders that often are essential to the success of a public engagement project. Engaged Public has been instrumental in designing such high profile projects as The Colorado 100, The Governor’s Dialogue on Health Care Vision and Values, and Colorado’s Future: Building a Better Colorado.
